Toronto-based salon, The Hair Spot, celebrated a milestone this week; their 50th anniversary.
Owner Santo Morrone founded the salon in 1968, passing his passion down to the next generation; his daughter, hairstylist and past Contessa winner, Palma N’Sheluvzit.
“My dad wanted to give back to his community after coming to Canada with a dream and being supported in the salon for 50 years,” said N’Sheluvzit. “We had over 300 people show up to celebrate – it was a great turnout!”
“It was so beautiful seeing the smile on my dad’s face and seeing people who’ve known him longer than I have,” she said.
“My dad never knew he was inspiring me growing up. Each of his clients were always served with love and happiness, which I enjoyed seeing as a child.”
Congratulations to The Hair Spot!
