On June 5 – 8, Vancouver’s BC Place hosted the 2013 Skills Canada National Competition to demonstrate excellence in the skin care and body therapy category, in partnership with Dermalogica. The national competition is part of WorldSkills International, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to upholding vocational excellence in various sectors, which hosts the largest skills competition in the world.
Congratulations to the 2013 Skills Canada National gold winner, Yuliya Pustilnyk from Manitoba, silver winner Julia Foell from Ontario and bronze winner Courtney Samms from Newfoundland! Each of the 26 skincare and body therapy finalists was paired with a Dermalogica educator and provided with products to use throughout the competition.
Also, from July 2 to 7, Joanie Arsenault from Quebec will represent Canada at the WorldSkills International competition in Leipzig, Germany, along with contestants from 55 countries. Arsenault’s outstanding performance in regional, provincial and national competitions qualified her for the 2013 Team Canada. Good luck to all the contestants!
