With the 2020 British Hairdressing Awards quickly approaching, we’re happy to share that Contessa winner Silas Tsang and Contessa finalist Alain Pereque have been named international finalists.
The British Hairdressing Awards, hosted by Hairdresser’s Journal and sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, will be held virtually on Monday, November 30, 2020.
Despite being a challenging year for hairstylists, both Pereque and Tsang have proved to be some of the most influential creative forces in the industry, as they are named finalists of this prestigious award.
Pereque from AP Education in Montreal and Tsang from Blushes in Ottawa are both competing alongside hairstylists from the U.S., Australia, Japan and Spain for the coveted International Collection of the Year award.
Due to the lockdown caused by the pandemic, the awards changed their entry rules to allow entrants to submit pre-existing work.
“The hairdressing industry is one of endless enthusiasm and creativity, reflected in these awards. All finalists should feel incredibly proud and we extend our biggest congratulations to all and the best of luck for the awards ceremony,” says Julian Crane, Schwarzkopf Professional’s general manager for U.K. and Ireland.
Congratulations to all finalists from around the world, and we wish Pereque and Tsang the best of luck!
Don’t forget to tune into the virtual awards ceremony on Monday, November 30th to see who will take home the title!
