The 2023 Barber Expo Toronto took place on Sunday, April 30th at The Warehouse Venue.
Presented by BaBylissPRO and Barberology, the educational event was the largest barbering show held in Canada to-date. The expo featured a wide range of vendors, and welcomed three of the industry’s most influential barbers: Sofie Pok (aka. Staygold), Los Cut It, and Pattycuts. The educators took the stage to share their expertise and inspire the audience, emphasizing the importance of improving the barbering experience and bridging the gap between traditional barbering and modern men’s haircutting and styling trends.
Pattycuts showcased his masterful barbering skills as he demonstrated how to achieve a flawless bald fade without the use of guards. Los Cut It motivated attendees with a powerful message about the value of hard work and consistency in barbering, while encouraging the new generation to avoid taking shortcuts. Staygold educated the audience about the important of upselling products and ensuring that clients are equipped with the knowledge to style their hair at home.
Among the attendees were Don Wyatt, director of shows and education for BaBylissPRO Canada, and Vincent Lemieux, general manager for Dannyco Professional.
