Miami Swim Week featured a lot of summer hair inspo, including styles with natural texture and a Grecian Vibe. Find out how to recreate this effortless twisted updo, created by Sarah Lund using Kevin.Murphy products.
How-to: Effortless Twisted Updo
1. On dry hair, use a product like Killer.Waves to encourage and refine natural texture and rough dry into hair. If hair is stick straight, use a large iron to curl hair away from the face in very big sections to add a bit of movement.
2. Starting with a middle part, rope braid one side staying close to the hairline and only taking hair from the top as you braid. Make sure braid is secure but not too tight! Repeat on the other side. Overlap ends of the brads together in the back and pin into place.
3. Loosen braid with hands and use Bobby Pins to pull apart random sections and pin flat. At the end the rope braid should look deconstructed.
4. Gather remaining hair into a low know at the nape, sitting on the hair line and pin into place with large hair pins. Use a texturing powder like Powder.Puff to refine the shape!
