Step 3: Style the hair using a 1.25” curling iron to add in some more defined waves and vary the texture throughout the hair.
Step 4: Next, use a flat iron to soften the front hairline and across the sides.
Step 5: Finally, lock in the look by blow-drying the hair with the diffuser attachment to give it one last blast of volume.

Step 1: Start by blow-drying section by section up the sides of the head and set with alligator clips to let the hair cool down and retain bounce.
Step 2: Tackle the hairline first since it’s normally the frizziest part of the hair. Using a blow dryer, smooth that section down by alternating between hot and cool.
Step 3: Create a center part and set the front of the hair, then make 1-inch sections and worked backwards, adding fullness at the crown.
Step 4: Once completed, take out all the clips and brush the hair
Inspired by classic Hollywood glam and her intricately beaded floor-length black and white gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji, celebrity hairstylist Alexander Armand created a chic but modern updo for Quinta Brunson who was nominated as Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in the TV series “Abbott Elementary”.

Step 1: Prep the hair with a shampoo and conditioner.
Step 2: Blow-dry the hair using a paddle brush.
Step 3: Straighten the hair with a flat iron set to 350 degrees to get just the right temperature to create a sleek hair texture.
Step 4: Next, gather the hair into a ponytail and create the perfect bun.
Step 5: Use a foam mousse and ultra-hold gel with additional heat from a blow dryer to sleek the edges of the ponytail and manipulate the bangs. The combination of products and this technique allows for hair that is super sleek and frizz-free.
Step 6: Finally, style the ponytail with an artistic bun and apply bobby pins to hold and complete the look.
