Moroccanoil has opened the doors to their brand new, state-of-the-art academy in New York City. We attended the grand opening event on January 16, 2020.
Among the attendees were Moroccanoil’s co-founder Carmen Tal, VP of global education Robert Ham, global creative director Antonio Corral Calero, artistic director Kevin Hughes, and global ambassador Peter Beckett.
“I really believe in education and inspiring people,” says Tal. “Sharing the knowledge that we have with other people is phenomenal.”
With 8,500 square feet, the expansive academy features an open-concept design with luxurious décor accents including brass fixtures and mosaic. It also features a range of sustainable materials throughout the space.
In addition to 30 cutting and styling stations for classes and workshops, the academy also includes a fully equipped professional content studio for video shoots.
“It’s been my commitment and Moroccanoil’s to provide education to any stylist,” says Ham. “We want them to be able to come to Moroccanoil and get the best education possible.”
