This time around, we want to see your most beautiful braids!
Whether it’s a fishtail braid, an updo that incorporates intricate French braids or a look inspired by your Game of Thrones withdrawal, we want to see which of your best bridal looks makes a statement!
Remember, although we love seeing photo submissions from collections, this contest is all about the variety. Feel free to submit looks you’ve taken in your chair, at home or even in your salon’s “designated in-salon Instagram area“!
(We would also like to advise against re-entering photos that have previously been submitted for the Contessa Awards.)
Now for some of the more technical details for those of you who may be first-time entrants…
You can read all of the official rules here but just so you’re familiar with the overall structure of the contest, there are two rounds of judging. We’ll be accepting entries starting today until June 14th, 2019. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any issues submitting your form or photo.
Once entries close, we move onto the first round of judging. Finalists are determined by popular vote. (You may use this opportunity to encourage family, friends, colleagues and those on social media to vote for your entry!) At the end of the voting period, the top 50% of entries that have received the majority of votes become our finalists, which move onto the second round of judging. This round includes a panel of judges at our offices that vote independently to therefore determine the first-, second- and third-place winners. The first-place winner will receive an online article, shout-outs on social media, a spot in our weekly newsletter and their winning work published in the next issue of Salon Magazine. In a nutshell, if our community doesn’t already know your name— they will after this!
Voting runs from June 18th, 2019 to July 9th, 2019. Finalists will be announced July 11th and the winner will be announced on July 18th.
So now that we have that all covered, time to get up and create! Click here to enter.
